Unspoken turmoil of "willing" migrations

“The beginnings are always scary, the endings are little bittersweet; but what lies in between is what tells the true story of life.”

The restlessness of a 1st generation migrant to succeed in a new place and pass along his traditional values to the future generations have always created a constant struggle within the family and their surroundings. Add the immigrant policy instability and the whole equation is a diaspora of confusing expectations, emotional and financial insecurities, homesickness, the fear of losing the new home away from the “home” and the hopelessness of answering the question “how & what then”?

This is the story of every immigrant family today that has followed their work and crossed the seven seas for it. They are in constant search of finding a place where they can reconnect with their culture and find similar struggling veterans trying to make a mark. Hence, a social get-together which starts with a couple of such immigrants grows and creates a broader Landscape bringing and taking forward the intangible heritage of their origins. This place of performance brings together both the worlds; creating a unique blend of trans-cultural identities for the future generations.

This paper evaluates and tries to bring forth live stories of such immigrant families and the birth of socio-cultural organizations that gives them a platform to express themselves and showcase their roots to the future generations. The paper tries to show how and why this niche is born and created in the midst of the existing cultural landscape of the society.

The Paper concludes with the strong desire of creating a place with no constitutional boundaries and a free paradigm to demonstrate the intellect and continue each migratory lineage with respect and honor bringing the world together as one single family.
